May Faves!

I cannot believe it's the first day of June! May was such a fun month; FULL of busy, exciting, and new things. I thought I would share some of my favorite things from the month!

I'm not sure if the foundation is really making my skin 'better', but I love it so much! It's a medium coverage, and feels so light on the skin. I definitely recommend it now that the weather is getting toasty!

The moisturizer is labeled for sensitive skin, but I just really like this because it's so light. It absorbs so quickly into the skin, and is not greasy at all.

Some new. Some old. All good. Since B installed bluetooth in my car, I've quit relying on the radio and started looking for new and different music to listen to. When I was making this list, I realized just how random and weird my music tastes are.. lol These albums couldn't be more different! But that's ok with me.

Milledgeville got an Aldi, and I'm so happy about it! I have been to the Aldi in Macon before, but it really wasn't worth a 45 minute drive to do my shopping. It's so cheap, y'all. And it's small and convenient and they have everything I need. I am just thrilled.

Food Faves

This photo is from my Taco Salad post, but I wanted to share it again because one of my favorite things about this time of year is the fresh food! The fruit and vegetables this time of year are to die for. I'm so excited to eat delicious, fresh food all summer long!

Iced coffee/lattes are also something I'm into this summer. I have never really done iced coffee before, but after having the most amazing iced latte in Lynchburg, I wanted to venture out and try things other than plain coffee with cream. Ha! : ) My latest jam is an iced latte with hazelnut and coconut. Summer in a cup, I tell ya.

Really, this is an all-year-round fave, but since it's officially "Grilling Season", I will claim it as a May fave! You just can't beat the flavor from a grill. It just makes me happy!

My Life Faves

I don't need to tell you, but graduation was a major May fave. I am so, so happy to be finished with school! And I'm so proud of myself. It was all worth it!

Spontaneous date nights are always a fave. When B came home and took me to Aubri Lane's, it was much needed and soooo perfect! That lamb was absolutely delicious.

Summer break! It has been so nice to sleep a little later, hang out with our friends, spend more time outside, cook, and just relax!

MACK. Mack is a May Fave forever and always. We celebrated his second birthday this month, and it was so much fun!

I didn't get to take any pictures of him a the party, but this is one of my favorite pictures of him. He is growing so quickly, and I absolutely love watching him learn and develop his little personality. He is so funny! He repeats everything you say and would play outside all day if you let him. I just love this sweet baby so much! Time, please slow down.

Pizza Night!

TGIF... Seriously! This week has gone on and on... I am not one to wish time away, but I was happy to see this weekend. Anyway, tonight I wanted to treat me and B to something really good... Pizza!

I made the dough when I got home from work and let it rise until B got home. We are in a cold-snap in Georgia, so my kitchen was not really warm enough for it to rise very much, but it was good enough for me... I am very impatient. : ) Also, I woke up a little sore and I'm pretty sure it was from rolling out this dough.

Instead of buying pizza sauce, I bought a can of organic tomato sauce and added Italian spices to it. I don't care for a lot of sauce on my pizza, so I went pretty light...

B didn't get home until around 9:45, so it was a very late dinner for us... I had on my pajamas, my make up off and had been watching reality TV for few hours by the time we ate... Don't judge my life.

I topped the pizza with pepperoni, onion, green pepper, mozzarella cheese, and a swirl of olive oil! It was soooo good, y'all. For real. The crust was the perfect texture, the cheese melted beautifully and it had just the right amount of pizza sauce for my taste.

I love making special things for me and B... It's so fun to try new things!

Shake Shack!

Last week, B and I went on a last minute trip to ATL. We had to pick up something for the band, and decided to make a little date out of it! We wanted to get burgers, but didn't want to go somewhere we had been before... We had three different places we wanted to try but we ended up picking Shake Shack.

I loved the way the place was set up. It was so industrial and modern. It just felt really cool in there.

We sat on the rooftop dining area and it was a gorgeous night. I loved the slatted roof and the lights hanging around. It was kind of cool that evening too, so it was perfect to sit outside!

The. Food. Seriously! I just got the Shack Burger which is a basic cheeseburger with Shack Sauce on top. B got the Smoke Shack which was a Bacon Cheeseburger with Peppers and Bacon on top. We shared, of course, and they were both amazing! I got cheese fries, but honestly they were just as good without the cheese. I love french fries: They are the world's most perfect food.

Of course, what's a date without dessert?! I got a "Concrete" which is vanilla custard ice cream, and chose strawberry puree and cheesecake as my toppings. B got a chocolate malt. I am honestly not a "dessert person", but this ice cream was AMAZING.

Their logo is super cute and was just kind of stuck all over the restaurant. It was even engraved into all the tables. Love it!

Having time just the two of us to just sit and talk is rare these days. The season of life that we're in right now is pretty busy, and that's okay. But I cherish these moments when we can just be us : ) Love my B! I can't believe we will have been married THREE YEARS in just a week!
