August Favorites

Long Time, No Blog! I took the summer off to relax and enjoy... But I'm back! : ) I just wanted to share some of my favorite new products from this past month...

  1. Loreal Total Repair 5 Damage-Erasing Balm

This is admittedly an old favorite that I have used for a year or so now, but over the summer I tried some other deep conditioners and they just fell short! I recently went lighter with my hair, so I have been really intentional about making sure it's moisturized and taken care of so it doesn't look fried! I use this in place of regular conditioner, and I absolutely love the way my hair looks and feels.

2) Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes

First of all, if you're not using a makeup remover of some sort before you wash your face, I promise you there is still makeup left when you go to bed at night. I used to be weary of this "unnecessary step", but once I started using them I never looked back. I have tried several different brands, but I keep coming back to these! Most other brands burn my eyes or feel too rough on my face. These are very moist and soft, so they are gentle on your skin, but the liquid is very mild so your eyes don't feel like they are about to fall out of your head. These are holy grail item for me!

3) Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

This. Foundation. Is. Life.

It's so light on the skin and the coverage is on point. I apply mine with a stippling brush and I am obsessed with the way it looks. I'm not sure if I would say it lasts 24 hours, but it lasts all day at work, which is good enough for me!

I will say, if you are oily (like me), you MUST set it with a powder. Especially in this Georgia humidity, the "glow" can start looking like "grease" real quick.

I cannot wait to see how it does in the cooler weather.

4) Maybelline Face Studio Master Concealer

I bought this concealer in June... And then left it in our room at BaseCamp... So I thought. I actually found it in my suitcase at the beach last weekend, and I was so excited to try it! I LOVE it. The coverage is absolutely out of this world, but it's not drying or cakey and it blends like a dream. I just set it with a little translucent powder and I'm ready to go.

5) Batiste Hint of Color Dry Shampoo

I have talked about this product for years, but all I really have to say is it's awesome. I hate washing my hair more than anything, so this really saves me when I'm feeling especially lazy. I love the hint of color because it leaves no residue, and it comes in brown, blonde and red, so you can get what you need, girl.

6) Smoky Gray Mist Wax Cubes

I think is a great transition scent from Summer to Fall. It smells a little like cologne, but not so much that it gives you a headache. I love using my wax melter, but I just saw this comes in a candle too, so I might be adding that to my collection very soon!

That's all I got for you this time. I hope I can get back to regular posts soon! : )
