VDay 2015

I absolutely love Valentine's Day. Even before I had a Valentine, I loved celebrating with my friends or my family. I just love love! B and I decided we would have no alarms set on Valentine's Day, which was so nice. We woke up around 10 and my parents invited us over for breakfast.

My dad picked up Bojangle's which is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast! We each got our own HEART SHAPED chicken biscuit, and he also got some BoBerry Biscuits. I ate my whole biscuit and half a BoBerry since I knew I would be indulging all day! I didn't want to over do it.

When we got home, we decided to try some coffee I got B for Christmas. John Mark McMillan is one of our favorite artists and he just released a special blend of coffee on his website.

We ground up the beans and used our new French Press to brew the coffee.

B drank his black, but I just can't do that : ) I stirred in my half and half, but I could still taste the flavor. It was so rich and had a little sweetness to it. It really was delicious! We really want to try more special blends and use the French Press more often.

B had planned a fun surprise for us that night. He was out washing his truck and running errands, so I took a long bath and watched some romantic movies while I got ready.

This is B's truck he drove all through high school and college. I love this truck. He doesn't drive it much anymore, but I requested that we take it because I have so many fond memories riding around in it.

Unfortunately, because it doesn't get used much, there was a crack in the tire. We didn't realize this until we were on our way to our mystery destination, and B didn't want to chance a blow out.

I could tell he was disappointed because we weren't going to be able to do what he originally planned, but he said he is going to save the surprise for another time!

We ended up taking B's work truck and parking in the middle of a baseball field. We built  a fire and grilled burgers.

We even brought sparking grape juice and drank out of some antique champagne glasses we got as a wedding gift!

It started to get cold, so we packed up and came home. We decided to bake cookies and watch some more movies because it was only 9:00! We moved the coffee table and made a pallet on the floor in front of the fireplace. It was so romantic and perfect.

I love my B! And I am thankful for 5 Valentine's Days together... Even when things don't go as planned, we always have a great time together!
