Recent Fall Fashion Favorites!

Hey y’all! Just wanted to pop on real quick and share some of my recent favorite outfits I’ve been wearing lately… Hope you find something you like, too!

Engagement Party Outfit

This weekend we went to an engagement party and it was just a perfect fall evening! The party was alongside the river and there was a nice breeze all night… I was so excited to wear something a little more “fall” and I couldn’t wait to bust out my knee high boots! I was originally going to wear a turtle neck but switched to a flowy blouse and I really loved the final look!

I ordered this skirt from Glitzy Girl Boutique and I have never shopped there before, but I had a great first experience! This skirt fit perfectly and I also ordered a pair of earrings and a ring, too.

My shirt is super old, so I don’t have al ink but I will share what links I have below!

Denim Tunic

Y’all know I love a denim shirt and I was so excited to find this one because it’s long enough for leggings! The people rejoice! Ha… but seriously, this shirt was so comfortable. I wore it super casual the other day for running errands but then I dressed it up for church Sunday! I love versatile pieces that you can style multiple ways!

Denim Tunic: Belk

Leggings: Amazon

Sandals: Famous Footwear

Bryant’s Outfit: Carter's

WalMart Pullover & Leggings

This is the perfect pullover for this weather… Not too hot and not too cold! Just right. I love the color, too! Paired with leggings and tennis shoes, this is the perfect outfit for running errands or even lunch out with the girls. Super affordable too!

Pull Over: WalMart

Leggings: WalMart

Shoes: Amazon

Plaid Tunic

I’ve already worn this outfit like 3 times since I bought it. This top is so flowy and is also the right length for leggings… and paired with jeans & these leopard flats, I thought it was such a cute fall look!

I love it tucked in as well…

Getting Travel Ready with Walgreens!

I’m so excited because I leave for DISNEY WORLD on Friday! I have been so busy getting ready for the trip… And I have so much left to do! What is it about going out of town that makes me feel like I need to get all new toiletries?!

We are going to celebrate my sister-in-law’s Bachelorette weekend and I’m while I’m so excited, I’m also kind of nervous since it will be the longest I’ve been away from Bryant since he was born! I’m trying to soak in all the snuggles and not waste my time being stressed. And that’s where Walgreens comes in!

I love Walgreens because they are hardly EVER out of what I need and it’s so much quicker to run in there than into one of the bigger stores in town…

They are also always having great sales on things like makeup and skin care, and I absolutely LOVE their rewards program! You earn actual money you can spend in the store! I always like to save mine up and then on a “shopping spree”… It makes you feel like it’s free money!

Today I’m sharing some of Walgreen’s recent promotions, as well as some of my favorite products from Walgreens!

Some links may be affiliate links, which means I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

One more thing… When we get back from our trip, I’m sure I will have a ton of photos I will want to print and keep forever! I will probably print a mix of photos and maybe even do a photo book! I love photo books, because it’s such an easy way to keep all my memories in one place and I can go back to look any time I want! Walgreens is great because they offer same day pick up… That’s so nice when you are impatient like me! : )

The BEST Chili Recipe

Hey y’all! Fall is officially here and I couldn’t be happier.

I love when the weather cools down and I can finally start making comforting foods like soups and chili… Today I wanted to share my go-to chili recipe that will definitely be on repeat ALL fall and winter!

This recipe is technically my mom’s… but I’ve asked permission to share it : )

  1. Heat a large pot on medium heat. Brown the ground beef and break up as it cooks.
I use this chopper, but you can use a large wooden spoon!

  2. Once the meat is cooked through, add the seasoning packets. Stir well, and let it heat through. I like to do this so the seasonings can warm up and really melt into the meat!

  3. Add the beans and tomatoes, stopping between each can to stir well.

  4. Cover and cook the chili for at least 30 minutes, but the longer the better! I actually think chili is best made a day ahead of time because the longer it sits, the more the flavors really develop!

Instant Pot Directions:

Turn on the saute setting on your instant pot. Cook the ground beef, breaking up as it browns. Add spices and mix well. Add the beans & tomatoes and stir well. Cover and cook 20 minutes on High. Natural Release.

Slow Cooker Directions:

Brown the ground beef in a pan on medium heat, breaking up as it browns.

Add cooked meat to the slow cooker. Sprinkle seasoning packets on top of meat and then pour in beans & tomatoes. Stir well, and cook on Low for 8 hours.

Fall Decor… Finally!

With this crazy HEAT wave in Georgia, I’ve put off decorating for fall almost a month longer than I normally do…

Usually I decorate with leaves & little fall touches on September 1st, I add pumpkins and Halloween things on October 1st, and then transition to Thanksgiving on November 1st… I have a very technical schedule. Ha!

But this year, I just could not get in the zone… Yesterday it FINALLY felt less than miserable outside so I decided it was time!

With Bryant being up and moving and pulling EVERYTHING off any table or shelf he can reach, I wasn’t able to do quite as much as I normally do… but I think I succeeded in making it feel like fall in my home!

I have built my fall collection over several years, so not everything is available… but I will include links for anything I can!

This adorable hutch was given to me by a dear friend! I have wanted a piece like this forever, so when she said she was getting rid of it, I jumped on it! It needs a little bit more cleaning up but I’m just embracing the “rustic” look for now…

Foyer & Den

I always enjoy decorating our den the most because that’s where we spend the majority of our time!

Living/Dining Room

I love changing our dining room table decor based on the season! It’s so nice to have it set when company comes over or just for dinner during the week. We also have a little breakfast table in our living room that I like the set just for myself… this is where I usually drink my coffee in the morning while I read my Bible! It’s just my little peaceful spot.

Front Porch

One day, I will have a big front porch I can sit on in a rocking chair… But until then, I will just decorate my little stoop. : )
